2026 Popcorn Sale Update
After a great deal of vetting and discussion, we will be changing our popcorn vendor to Camp Masters for the 2026 campaign.
After reviewing feedback with several units and staff members, we expect several new advantages for our selling units, while the sales process itself should remain very similar to past sales. However, we will need to transition to Camp Masters’ sales platform, and we will make that process as seamless as possible for you.
Some of the unit-facing factors that led to this decision include:
- Product Mix – While Trail’s End has scaled “Show ’N Sale” products down to five options, Camp Masters offers a wider variety of products. This will likely include a non-popcorn option that many units have requested, as well as a popcorn tin option that many of our longtime popcorn volunteers will appreciate.
- Retail Cost – While Trail’s End has standardized all “Show ’N Sale” products in the $20–$25 range, Camp Masters offers several options within that range while also allowing us to potentially offer a $15 product and one or more premium-priced products, such as a tin.
- Product Cost – Camp Masters’ product costs are slightly lower than Trail’s End’s, which will allow us to eliminate the previous sliding-scale commission structure for the traditional sale and instead offer a flat 35% commission to all units for all traditional sales.
In addition, many of our leaders who participated in the vendor vetting process expressed subjective preferences, including a belief that Camp Masters offers higher-quality products. Many of the popular sales improvements introduced over the past couple of years will also be available through Camp Masters, including tap-to-pay functionality and the online “Show ’N Sale” site booking system.
We will continue rolling out additional information as the sale approaches, including a meet-and-greet with our Camp Masters representative. Please make sure we have up-to-date contact information for your unit so we can communicate effectively.
We are excited about the possibilities and potential created by this change and look forward to working with everyone on a successful 2026 popcorn sale!
Thank you,
